Acoustic Comfort
Softer rooms where conversation survives lunch rush and evening music.
Why cafés get loud
Hard floors, bare plaster, and dense seating bounce chatter until guests raise their voices. We treat acoustics as part of the interior concept — fabric, ceiling panels, and seating density — not as a separate engineering report unless you hire a specialist.
Śródmieście rooms with tall windows and little soft goods are the most common problem cases we see.
Density and talk distance
Adding seats without soft finishes multiplies noise. We sometimes recommend one fewer table row if it keeps speech intelligible; operators often prefer that trade when reviews mention echo. Praga brick volumes need absorptive ceilings or wall panels even when floor area feels generous.
Absorb without looking clinical
Upholstered banquettes, curtains, felt panels, and textured ceilings reduce bounce while staying visual. Colours coordinate with the mint–rose–charcoal family when that is the project palette, or with timber tones when the brief is warmer. Cleaning rules for soft goods appear on the material schedule.
Music and mechanical noise
We note speaker placement zones so music does not fight the counter. HVAC noise is flagged when we hear it on visit; remedying ducts stays with mechanical trades. Our role is to keep guest-facing surfaces from amplifying what already exists.
When to bring a specialist
Large restaurants with live performance or complex HVAC may need an acoustic consultant. We stay within hospitality interior comfort and will say when a brief exceeds that scope. Acoustic notes usually sit inside mid and full packages on the pricing board.
